( chinadaily.com.cn ) 2013-10-14

During the National Day holiday, numerous visitors were attracted by the month-long 2013 Jiangqiao Cultural Tourism Festival.

In the Totole Museum, visitors could watch a vivid display of primitive people roasting and enjoying food like fish and lamb in caves. An animation video showed a scene featuring human beings cooking food in water for the first time. The exhibition also featured ancient cooking utensils, such as clay bowls, bronze spoons and ceramic jars, that appealed to many visitors.

Lots of people waited in long queues for shish kebabs, fermented tofu, large meatballs and donkey meat pastries on Wanda Delicacy Street. Visitors could not only find bargains but also taste delicious snacks during the holiday. At night, thousands of citizens took part in the Orange Musical Festival and beer drinking competition held in Wanda Plaza.

In the Xinzeyuan garden plants market, people could see over 100 species of plants, go fishing and admire a display of Li Jin’s paintings.

Visitors hoped that more interactive activities could be held, such as DIY clay figures and delicacies.
