Jiangqiao holds entrepreneur gathering

Jiangqiao town, Jiading district of Shanghai recently hosted a gathering of representatives from over 30 leading local enterprises to discuss economic development, local media reported on Feb 3.

To encourage the enterprises to pursue innovation and further development, authorities awarded 53 companies at the meeting for their outstanding performances. Eight were awarded for their overall development, 19 for their innovation, and 26 for their development potential.

Winners shared the successful experiences of their companies and put forward ways to promote innovation and enhance talent training.

Shen Huadi, deputy head of the district, spoke highly of the winning companies and urged local entrepreneurs to learn from them as role models and focus on innovation. Shen vowed that the government would offer stronger support to help the companies develop further.

Shen also mentioned Jiangqiao's important role in the district's goal of becoming a scientific and technological innovation center.

Jiangqiao leaders aim to develop the town into a demonstration zone of the North Hongqiao Central Business District. To reach this goal, the town will enhance its headquarters economy and form industrial clusters featuring cultural information, e-commerce, financial service and intelligent industry.



Guyi Garden becomes digital scenic spot

Guyi Garden in Shanghai's Jiading district was recently rated as one of the 21 Shanghai digital scenic spots by the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism, local media outlets reported on Jan 19.
