Jiading, Wenzhou reach co-op agreement in tourism

Jiading district, Shanghai and Wenzhou, East China's Zhejiang province recently reached a cooperation agreement for the speeding up of resource and information sharing and the promotion of in-depth exchanges in tourism.

Shortly after the agreement was reached, Wenzhou released preferential policies for Jiading tourists.

Those with identity cards issued by the Jiading public security bureau or who hold a Jiading hukou - household registration - can have free access to the national A-level scenic spots in Wenzhou from Aug 20 to Nov 20. Jiading tourists on a group tour around Wenzhou, who stay one night in Wenzhou and visit more than two A-level scenic spots, can get a 10-yuan ($1.45) subsidy each from Aug 20 to Nov 20.

Only the entrance tickets of the A-level scenic spots are free for Jiading tourists from Aug 20 to Nov 20, transportation and other fees in the scenic spots are not covered.

The period from Aug 20 to Nov 20 covers the Mid-Autumn Festival and the National Day holidays, when the preferential policies will be still valid for Jiading residents.

There are altogether 39 national A-level scenic spots in Wenzhou, and the five characteristic tourist attractions, including Daluo Mountain, Jingshan Mountain, as well as the Mansion of the Hu Family, the step-stone bridges, and Feiyun Lake Sports-themed Town in Taishun, Wenzhou's county-level city, are also included in the preferential policies.

Guyi Garden becomes digital scenic spot

Guyi Garden in Shanghai's Jiading district was recently rated as one of the 21 Shanghai digital scenic spots by the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism, local media outlets reported on Jan 19.
