Guyi Garden in Nanxiang, Shanghai, covers nearly 10 hectares, and is the largest of the five classic gardens in Shanghai. [Photo/jiading.gov.cn]

Guyi Garden was built during the reign of Emperor Wanli of the Ming Dynasty (1574-1620). Covering nearly 10 hectares, it was one of the most famous gardens in East China during the Ming Dynasty and the largest of the five classic gardens in Shanghai.

Ticket Price: 12 yuan ($1.70)

Opening hours: 5:30 am-7:30 pm (No admission after 7 pm)
