Established on March 2, 2010, the Shanghai Center of Internet of Things relies on the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology's strength in R&D, talent, and research achievements to attract Internet of Things R&D, demonstration and industrial projects to settle here.
It strives to develop itself into the most competitive and influential IOT innovation base, to develop IOT core technologies, lead the nation in standards and regulations, promote the application of the IOT and accelerate the industrialization of technological achievements.
Located in Jiading district, Shanghai city, the center's construction is divided into three phases. The phase-one period includes a technological R&D center and expert apartments covering a construction area of 80,000 square meters. The phase-two period is the construction of the industry incubation center, exchange and training center, and application demonstration center.
It will have a construction area of 130,000 square meters. Phase-three construction focuses on industry cluster areas with a construction area of 13.3 hectares.
