The launch ceremony of the Jiading Division of the 2025 edition of the "Startup in Shanghai" International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition took place on June 12. The event aims to accelerate the high-quality development of local tech enterprises and inject new momentum into the regional innovation and advancement of the science and technology industries. This year's competition introduces on-site roadshows, categorized into start-up enterprises and growth enterprises. A panel of judges will evaluate project presentations and hold Q&A sessions on-site, selecting outstanding projects to progress to the municipal semi-finals. During the event, experts from municipal departments provided detailed explanations on policy areas of significant interest to enterprises, such as the recognition of high-tech enterprises and technical contract registration. Jiading will leverage this competition to establish an innovative service ecosystem characterized by competition-driven initiatives, policy support, and enhanced services. "The competition services will encompass the entire process from pre-competition to post-competition, forming a closed-loop innovation ecosystem," said Wen Li, deputy director of Jiading district's science and technology committee.
