Jiading district celebrated its seventh Special Olympic Day on July 19. More than 100 disabled people participated in the nine sports items, including fixed-point shooting, ring toss, keepie-uppie, and theatrical performances.
The activities, in response of the seventh National Special Olympic Day (July 20), were hosted by Jiading district's Disabled Persons Federation (DPF) and sponsored by DPF branches in Nanxiang town and the district's industrial zone.
Physically and mentally disabled people, along with DPF volunteers and a group of firefighters, performed several shows. The disabled competed in darts, jump rope and shuttlecock, showing their courage, bravery and determination.
