A handbook on self-aid and mutual aid for the elderly was also released at the donation ceremony. It introduces necessary measures to handle an emergency, such as traffic accidents, acute diseases, trauma and intoxication.

The town currently has nearly 20,000 people above 60 years old. The local government always pays attention to the elderly and continues to improve services for them. The town’s geracomium and nursing home now have a total bed capacity of over 500. There are 51 activity centers and 10 canteens for the elderly. The town also has provided free operations for more than 200 cataract patients above the age of 70.
