Authorities in Shanghai recently announced to add four suburban parks to its city park list including the Shanghai Auto Expo Park of Jiading district, local media reported on Aug 24.
The Auto Expo Park, as its name suggests, features auto exhibitions and it is located at the Shanghai International Automobile City in Jiading's Anting Town. Its mission is to display the area's achievements in auto manufacturing as well as improve the local living condition.
The park covers an area of 76.8 hectares and consists of five sections which have been named after leading countries in the auto sector such as China, US, Japan and UK. Apart from watching exhibitions, visitors can also take a test drive inside the park.
Because the park has close relationship with the local industry, visitor can see the impact of industries on it and the great differences between this suburban city park and the traditional urban ones.
The other three parks added to the list are the Fengpu Four Seasons Ecological Garden in Fengxian district, the Intelligence Park in Baoshan district and the New Jiangwan City Park in Yangpu district.
