To celebrate the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, Jiading district of Shanghai held an evening party, on Sept 23, at its Shanghai Poly Grand Theatre.

The party, featuring traditional Chinese culture, included a variety of performances such as Chinese classics recital, singing and short sketches. It aimed to help the audience gain a better understanding of the thoughts and values in the classical works and remind them to cherish the happiness of family reunion.

This was the fifth year for Jiading to launch such an event. With profound cultural heritages, Jiading is planning to promote the positive values presented in traditional Chinese culture among local residents. It has organized various cultural activities, covering etiquette training, classics reading and moral lectures, to improve residents' morals and ethics.
