With the idea of helping more local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) get listed, Jiaqiao town in Shanghai's Jiading district recently invited financial experts to give local company executives a lecture on related strategies, local media reported on Dec 23.

Based on the analysis of successful cases, the experts introduced the way for SMEs to get listed on the New Third Board, an over-the-counter market for small businesses, and rules of equity financing.

The experts suggested the entrepreneurs to abide by the rules and improve management of the companies to get ready for listing.

At the end of the lecture, the entrepreneurs exchanged ideas with them as well as local authorities about current preferential policies that support SMEs to get listed.

Authorities from Jiangqiao said that the town now has four companies that got listed on the New Third Board. In a bid to have more such firms, officials have provided opportunities for local companies to participate in training courses on listing and helped them raise funds.
