The Shanghai Marco Polo E-commerce Co, located at the Jiading Export Processing Zone, recently signed a cooperation agreement with the Shanghai Cross-border E-commerce Public Service Co to offer better services to the city's e-commerce enterprises, local media reported on Feb 15.

According to the agreement, the two companies' online cross-border e-commerce service systems, dubbed Marco PoloEC and Shanghai Cross-border E-commerce Public Service Platform respectively, will work together to make it more convenient and easier for e-commerce firms to do cross-border business. They will provide one-stop services, including cargo record filing, direct mailing, bonded warehousing, quick customs clearance, and tariff payments, among others.

Upon the cooperation, all the clearance procedures for a batch of export or import goods can be completed in five minutes.

The Marco PoloEC is now working on an all process logistics tracking system to ensure clients know the specifics of cargo delivery, said a manager of the company.

The manager added that it is also focusing on improving its global warehousing facilities to maintain the company's high logistic efficiency. So far, it has set up warehouses in countries and regions such as US, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
