Residents in Jiading district of Shanghai will have the opportunity to enjoy a world-class music concert, as the New York Philharmonic Orchestra will perform at the Shanghai Poly Grand Theater on July 4.
Daniil Trifonov, a famous Russian concert pianist and composer, will be accompanied by the orchestra.
The event is part of local authorities' effort to enrich the resident's cultural life and expose them to classical art.
Founded in 1842, the New York Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the oldest musical institutions in the United States and among the leading American orchestras popularly referred to as the "Big Five".
Its current music director is Alan Gilbert, who is an experienced conductor and the former music director of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra (2000 to 2008).
