A calligraphy and painting exhibition opened in Shanghai's Jiading district on May 10 with the aim of exposing traditional Chinese art to a wider audience.
The event, set to run until May 21, is the joint effort of the Jiading Federation of Literary and Art Circles and its counterpart in Taishun county, Zhejiang province.
A total of 76 works created by 39 calligraphers and painters from the two areas are exhibited.
The event serves as a platform for artists from the two areas to exchange ideas, and also intends to get more people interested in traditional Chinese art.
