The two-day AEMI World Clown Festival, a highlight of this year's Shanghai Tourism Festival, took place in Anting town, Jiading district of Shanghai in September.
Some 43 top-class artists from nearly 20 countries such as the United States, France, and the UK were on hand to perform more than 20 shows.
The acts included juggling, stilt-walking, comedy, magic shows, soap, bubble and balloon shows, all bringing a great deal of joy to the audiences, especially the children.
The AEMI World Clown Festival is the world's largest of its kind and involves more than 500 clowns, and has the simple purpose of bringing joy to families around the globe.
The event has been held in Anting for the past three years.
