A chrysanthemum show opened at the Huilongtan Park in Jiading district, Shanghai on Nov 3.
The show was held every year between 1988 and 1997. During that decade, it displayed more than 600,000 chrysanthemum pots and attracted 1.5 million Chinese and foreign visitors.
After disappearing for 18 years, the show returned in 2015, exciting the local residents. This year, the show will continue its mission of entertaining all visitors.
More than 600 chrysanthemums pots bred by both professional and amateur gardeners are on display at the park, covering different varieties. The flowers are also arranged into different shapes and images to enhance their attractiveness.
Additionally, a bonsai exhibition displaying 40 bonsais and a flower arrangement works exhibitions were launched.
Flower experts, flower arrangement masters, and masters of chrysanthemum cultivation are also invited to give three lectures to share their skills.
According to the organizers, the event aims to introduce the district's tourism resources to more people and promote the further development of its tourism sector.
