A 3D children's play Dream Town was staged at the Jiading Cultural Center in Jiading district of Shanghai on Dec 16, giving local kids a fantasy experience they'll never forget.
The play tells a story of the Fire Island, which becomes deserted and barren after its Holy Stone was stolen. Tata, the only heir of the Fire Clan, decides to go outside to find the Holy Stone with the help of his best friend Amu and an elf, named Elvira.
They pass through the mystical Magical Forest, enticing Sweet Garden, dangerous Courage Spring, and eventually arrive at the legendary Ice Island, where they receive several challenges.
At last, Tata defeats his evil nemesis by virtue of friendship, intelligence and courage, retrieves the Holy Stone, returns to the island and rejuvenates it.
Human weaknesses such as greed, laziness, anger and jealousy are presented and the importance of freedom, kindness and justice are emphasized in this educational and humorous fable.
Original music, dance, and creative magic were used in the performance. 3D projection technology was also employed to create amazing visual effects.
