The 2018 Road Trip & Recreational Vehicle Show (RTRV Show) is set for Anting town in Jiading district of Shanghai from May 19 to 21.
The event has grown in size this year with total coverage increasing to over 35,000 square meters and exhibitors exceeding 2,000. This year's visitors are predicted to reach 50,000.
A variety of products will be displayed during the three-day event, including recreational vehicles, wooden houses, tents, hotels, outdoor equipment, road trip and camping equipment, and many others.
In addition to the exhibition, activities such as RTRV-themed forums, camping industry open classes, RTRV expert selection and awards, and a RV camping party will be organized, in hopes of making the RTRV Show an influential big event in the camping industry.
It is also aimed at providing a professional platform where companies can display their products and help more people to know the industry.
Road trips, a new travel model, are growing in China. It is predicted that China will have more than 1 billion citizen taking road trips by 2025.
China's recreational vehicle industry has also witnessed rapid growth in recent years. About 21,000 recreational vehicles were sold in 2017. China aggregate RV sales are Asia's highest.
China's camping sites are also on the rise. In 2017, the number increased from 300 to 800. By 2020, it will exceed 4,000.
Those data show the promising prospects of China's recreational vehicle industry.
