Authorities in Jiading district of Shanghai announced the official launch of a new scientific and technological innovation base on April 8.
The base, a joint effort of local science and technology committee and taxation administration, is dedicated to serving hi-tech and high-end manufacturing enterprises.
It will offer guidance, consulting and individualized services to the enterprises, and encourage them to increase R&D investment.
During the launching ceremony, local science and tax officials interpreted related policies such as how micro, small and medium-sized startups apply for Shanghai’s tech innovation coupon and how hi-tech companies apply for favorable income tax.
Cen, financial manager of a Jiaxing-based company, attended the lecture and said that they plan to set up a subsidiary in Jiading this year, but they hadn’t fully understood the local tax policies, and this lecture solved all their problems.
Officials said that the newly-established base will organize more of such lectures to better serve local companies. One-to-one consulting services will also be provided.
