The High School Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Shanghai Jiading Huaishao School held a launching ceremony on March 12 to mark the start of their academic cooperation.
With a goal to "introduce, promote, cultivate and provide talents", the two schools will share resources in terms of curriculum continuity, teacher training, educational research and fostering outstanding students. The High School Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University and its branch school in Jiading district will act as major players in applying their teaching achievements at Huaishao School and select excellent students from the school.

Yao Wei, head of the Education Bureau of Jiading District, explained that the academic cooperation between the two schools was an attempt to further the reforms of senior high school entrance examinations and college entrance examinations and to improve the running of private schools. The bureau will support the cooperation to help Huaishao School achieve transformation and upgrading.
Wu Xuefen, chief of Nanxiang town, said that the cooperation was expected to optimize the distribution of educational resources and enhance education quality. She expressed a hope that the two schools will coordinate their educational resources and optimize the educational model at a higher level.
