The Jiading district government and Chinese tech giant Huawei Technologies signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement on Dec 7 at Huawei's headquarters in Shenzhen.
According to the agreement, Huawei will set up an internet of vehicles innovation center in Jiading to promote the construction of the internet of vehicles and "Digital Jiading" as well as promote the innovative development, transformation and upgrading of Jiading's economy.
The two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation in intelligent driving, intelligent network connection, intelligent vehicle cloud and other fields, and jointly promote the construction of Huawei's projects in Jiading.

The two sides will also work together to implement the big data strategy, accelerate the construction of "Digital Jiading", build the district into Shanghai's digital government demonstration zone, and carry out cooperation in smart education, smart medical care and other fields.
In his speech, Zhang Xi, Party secretary of Jiading, said that the district attaches great importance to the strategic cooperation with Huawei, and the local government will give full support and one-stop service to promote cooperation between the two sides.

Zhang also expressed his hope that Huawei will give full play to its technological advantages, bring more innovative ideas and projects to Jiading, deepen pragmatic cooperation between the two sides and create a better future together.
The Shanghai International Automobile City in Anting town, Jiading, also signed a cooperation agreement with Huawei to carry out cooperation in the research, development, application and construction of automotive intelligent network technology.
