The zone covers 5.96 square kilometers, of which 3 sq km is designated for export processing. To date, the zone has developed three functional areas with a full range of fundamental facilities, customs checkpoints, logistics warehouses and industrial services.
The advanced manufacturing sector represents the six leading industries of the zone and features emerging industries such as integrated circuits and internet of things, new energy vehicles and automobile intelligence, high-performance medical equipment and precision medicine, and intelligent manufacturing and robotics.
The zone has also formed a vigorous e-commerce ecosystem consisting of about 100 cross-border e-commerce platforms and service providers, including JD and Vanke. Both domestic and overseas enterprises are welcomed to open regional centers, as the zone is intending to expand its business scope in bonded logistics, research and development, delivery, inspection, maintenance and international purchasing.
