In recent years, Jiading has been making strong efforts to improve its business environment, making it an attractive place to invest.
Lantian Economic City in Nanxiang town offers a shining example of business environment optimization. Since 2011, the city has been holding regular meetings to provide enterprises a platform for communicating and discussing policy and improve Nanxiang's investment environment, according to a local official.
The COVID-19 pandemic earlier this year harmed companies in Jiading, and the district's Lantian Economic City rolled out an array of supporting measures to help enterprises resume normal operations as soon as possible.
Shanghai Lilith Games was one of the enterprises that benefited from these supporting measures, receiving nearly 5 million yuan ($766,000) in tax cuts.
Thanks to the preferable policies released by the Lantian Economic City, the number of newly registered enterprises in the city totaled 1,500 in the first 10 months of the year, growing by about 20 percent year-on-year.
