For the past few years, Lin Lin has arisen early in the morning to prepare a nutritious and delicious breakfast for her two children.
Lin lives in Liuyun Community in Jiading district, Shanghai, and enjoys cooking for her children. She said that she makes them creative fruit platters to ensure they have a healthy diet.
She started by making simple artistic shapes using food items, and then designed new patterns in a variety of colors and started making scenes — all while paying special attention to nutritional balance. For instance, she uses apple slices instead of potato chips, strawberries to make various animals, cucumbers to make grass and bushes, and chocolate cream to make tree branches.
"I don't know much about painting; I just make them on the spot," said Lin.
