As part of Shanghai's COVID-19 prevention and control measures, 37,000 people in Jiading district have received vaccinations, of whom 14,000 have completed both sets of vaccinations as of Jan 19.
The Shanghai government began to provide emergency COVID-19 vaccination services for people who work and study abroad, according to the principle of "vaccines are provided freely for those who agree to be vaccinated voluntarily". It also developed the "Health Cloud" app for vaccinators, a registration system for vaccination service.
A total of 17 temporary centralized vaccination sites were set up in different districts of Shanghai to provide vaccination services, with an advance appointment system set up.
One temporary centralized site for vaccination in Jiading district is the new Jiading Stadium, which is divided into a waiting area, a registration area, a vaccination area, and an observation area, including 10 pre-inspection areas and 30 vaccination rooms. A maximum of 7,600 people can be vaccinated each day at the site.
A media event was also held on Jan 19 regarding COVID-19 vaccinations at the new Jiading Stadium, where related staff of the Shanghai City Disease Presentation and Control Information Platform, as well as the Information Office of Shanghai Municipality was interviewed by local media members.
