Jiading district and Lingang Group commenced the construction of their joint project -- a science and technology town -- on July 2.
According to the plan, the first phase of this sci-tech innovation industry complex will cover an area of 52,000 square meters and feature offices, scientific and technological research and development centers, as well as garden headquarters.
Following its completion in 2024, the project is expected to generate more than 240 million yuan ($37.14 million) in revenue and attract 300 companies from various industries.
A batch of projects were also signed during the launch ceremony. They include leading industrial service platforms like Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property of Tongji University, Shanghai Industrial Creative Design Association, China Industrial Design Institute, Tanikawa Co, as well as leading companies in other areas.
To speed up the establishment of the projects, the town will provide the companies with one-stop services ranging from registration to operation. It will also support companies with five platforms for intellectual property, finance in sci-tech innovation, industrial complex, commercial business, and incubators for massive innovation. In addition, it will offer customized services to companies to meet their unique needs.
