The first Yuanxiang Lake Art Festival will kick off at the Shanghai Poly Grand Theater in Shanghai's Jiading district in October.
The three-day festival will host three high-quality outdoor performances featuring symphony, folk, jazz and popular music.
A variety of carnival activities such as a parent-child flea market and a cultural and creative products market will also be held at the Shanghai Poly Grand Theater.
The Shanghai Poly Grand Theater has staged 2,039 performances by more than 580 groups from 27 countries and regions and welcomed 1.14 million audiences since it was officially opened to the public in 2014.
To celebrate its seventh anniversary, the theater will hold a performing season from September to December featuring 51 shows.
