The supporting infrastructure outside SAIC Volkswagen's new electric-only MEB plant was recently completed.
Planning of the supporting infrastructure, which directly influences the traffic outside the plant, began in 2017 and saw 127 farmer households and 25 companies relocated to make way for the project.
The surrounding area of SAIC Volkswagen's MEB plant now features a river pattern which contributes to flood prevention and drainage. Trees have also been planted along the riverbank to offer the plant's employees an idyllic space for rest and exercise.
To facilitate the transportation of SAIC Volkswagen's new cars, an 800-meter supporting path will be opened in late September.
The path, which starts from the junction of Minfeng Road and Miquan Road, and ends on Hejing Road, is designed as a one-way road with 30 street lights.
SAIC Volkswagen's new electric-only MEB plant, which has a planned annual capacity of 300,000 vehicles, was put into production in October 2020.
