The Chinese battery maker SVOLT Energy Technology signed a cooperation agreement with Jiading State-owned Assets Group on Jan 6 to establish its Shanghai research and development center in Jiading district.
The R&D center will offer innovative technology support for artificial intelligent visual technology, AI analysis and AI simulation as well as build an industrial internet platform and industrial software for the energy interconnection industry.
In addition, the center will develop a vehicle battery management system (BMS) with high safety standards, high precision, high reliability, and an intelligent design to ensure safety and prolong the life of batteries.
Established in 2018, SVOLT Energy Technology is an emerging leader in the lithium battery industry in China.
The company has planned and established R&D centers both home and abroad in Baoding, Hebei province, Wuxi, Jiangsu province, Shenzhen, Guangdong province, Japan, South Korea, India, and Germany since its establishment. Its R&D covers advanced materials, technologies, crafts, and battery management systems.
Jiading district boasts a flourishing automobile industry and a good business environment, which is the reason why the Shanghai R&D center settled in the district, said Yang Hongxin, CEO of SVOLT Energy Technology.
