Recently, 38 companies in Shanghai's Jiading district were recognized as "little giant" companies, an increase of 90 percent year-on-year.
A "little giant" company refers to a leading small or medium enterprise that specializes in niche sectors.
To date, Jiading district is home to 70 State-level and 538 municipal-level "little giant" companies. Of which, 26 State-level "little giant" companies are involved in three major industries – the new four modernizations of electrification, intelligent networking, sharing, and internationalization, high-performance medical devices and precision medicine, and intelligent sensors, which exemplify the district's advantageous industrial clusters.
One of the "little giant" companies, Shanghai Hydrogen Propulsion Technology Co, for example, has automated, digital, and flexible production and has established its research and development production base at Jiading Hydrogen Port.
