A sub-forum of Lujiazui Forum 2022, which was on the automotive industry, was held in Jiading district on Sept 27.
The sub-forum invited government officials and experts from various industries, financial institutions, and associations to carry out deep exchanges and dialogues about the coordinate development of smart cities and intelligent connected vehicles.
According to Yang Jie, vice-president of KPMG China, the automotive sector continues to have a high demand for the application of cutting-edge automotive technology and the integration into the automotive eco-system with Chinese characteristics.
KMPG China's Leading Autotech 50 Fifth Edition was also released at the sub-forum, with listed Jiading district-based companies such as Hesai Technology and Pony.ai.
Currently, Jiading district has been bolstering its efforts to build three ports, which are a hydrogen port, a new energy port, and an innovation port, and two parks, which are a smart vehicle software park, and an automotive semiconductor industrial park.
The district has also been beefing up its efforts to pilot the coordinate development of smart city infrastructure construction and smart intelligent connected vehicles, aiming to establish a Chinese model by the end of this year.
