Per Edberg, who was born and raised in Sweden, has been working as a senior director of the Complete Vehicle Engineering of Research and Development Center of Volvo Car Asia Pacific since August 2018.
When Edberg was a child, the snow was pure, and he could skate on the lakes and eat the snow, but now that the climate has changed, he can no longer do either of those things.
As a result, Edberg believes that his company should assume responsibility for making the necessary adjustments for energy conservation and emission reduction in order to support the long-term sustainability of the environment.
During Edberg's work in China, he has been to many cities and also enjoys jogging in Jiading district. In his spare time, he plays tennis, goes jogging, and samples the local delicacies with his colleagues.
Edberg also finds Chinese culture very fascinating and has found some similarities with Swedish culture, such as respecting all people and experiences.
Jiading is home to many new automobile industries so he thinks the district is doing a good job to attract new companies, which are not only automotive companies, but also suppliers and high-tech companies.
"Jiading is a very vibrant and interesting place," Edberg said.
