Aptiv Central Electric (Shanghai) Co, also known as Aptiv, has recently started its fourth phase of plant expansion project.
Covering an area of 199 mu (about 132,667 square meters) and a total construction area of 18,000 square meters, the project, which has a total investment of 160 million yuan, is expected to be put into operation in January 2024.
Aptiv is a global technology company that provides technological services for the development of future mobility.
In 2021, Aptiv's output value reached 5.08 billion yuan, and its tax revenue hit 130 million yuan. The expansion project was developed to meet the needs posed by increased production, and after its completion, new test workshops and employee living facilities will be constructed.
The project is not only expected to enhance the company's production capacity, but also brings great convenience to its staff, as 560 more parking spaces and a large canteen are also expected to be built.
As a district of Shanghai that is known for automobiles, Jiading boasts a booming automobile industry, and as enterprises from the automobile industry, such as Aptiv, continuously launch projects to enhance their development, Jiading's automobile industry is expected to develop at a higher level in the near future.
