On Sept 9, the 2023 China Entrepreneurs Summit (Shanghai), hosted by the Jiading District Government and Peking University Alumni Association, opened in Jiading, Shanghai. It is the first time that the summit took place in Shanghai.
The event has been successfully held 11 times, which is among the most influential comprehensive innovation and entrepreneurship summit centered on entrepreneurs in China.
A plan that Entrepreneur's Training Camp of Peking University empowers Shanghai Jiading's scientific and technological innovation development was launched at the summit. The service plan will be an important measure for Jiading to focus on innovation, achievement commercialization and high-level talent training in recent years.
The plan makes clear that Jiading will rely on core resources of the training camp of Peking University, such as abundant mentors, projects, large enterprise partners, enterprise services, venture capital, and also innovation and entrepreneurship cloud platforms, to further promote Jiading's regional comprehensive innovation capability.
Through a platform of the camp, Jiading will gather domestic high-level innovation and entrepreneurship talents, share high-level innovation and entrepreneurship achievements, obtain high-quality innovation and entrepreneurship services, cultivate an active innovation and entrepreneurship environment and build an open innovation and entrepreneurship network.
The plan hopes to meet the needs of regional economic innovation and integration development with innovative strategic thinking and awareness and help Jiading to build an urban innovation and entrepreneurship system featuring innovation vitality, integrated development, humanistic charm and satisfactory living".
During the keynote speech session, industry experts and business representatives jointly set off brainstorming and launched a heated discussion on topics such as innovation and entrepreneurship.
Ten projects related to the camp, which intend to invest more than 500 million yuan ($68.56 million), settled in Jiading at the summit.
A youth maker service center was officially launched at the summit. It aims to further integrate the high-quality innovation and entrepreneurship resources of the training camp, promote scientific and technological innovation, enterprise development and industrial growth, and better serve the development of Jiading and Shanghai. The center will enhance the "added value of services" and bring more resources related to Peking University to innovative enterprises in Shanghai.
