Leading Chinese sportswear company Li-Ning Group opened its smart logistics park in Anting town, Jiading district, Shanghai on Sept 19.
The new park houses the company's East China Smart Logistics Center and the Li-Ning E-commerce Operation Center.
The East China Smart Logistics Center is the first smart logistics warehouse built by Li-Ning Group. The warehouse has a storage capacity of 10 million parcels and a single-day operation capacity of 600,000 parcels. It is expected to enhance logistics production and terminal hub capabilities through automation, digitalization, and intelligent means.
The logistics center will employ advanced technologies like robotic arms and robots to improve operational efficiency. The use of automation has also allowed the center to increase its storage efficiency by 100 percent. The center is projected to have an annual throughput of 84 million parcels by 2024 and 150 million parcels by 2026.
The new center features energy conservation and emission reduction technologies such as photovoltaic power generation and rainwater recycling. There are also plans to build a rooftop sports field in the future.
Located adjacent to the logistics center is the Li-Ning Product Experience Center, which showcases Li-Ning's professional sports offerings and offers a new retail experience for sports enthusiasts.
