Shanghai Totole Food Co Ltd, a leading enterprise in the condiment industry and a part of Nestle Group, is set to showcase over 50 products from Nestle's Maggi brand at this year's China International Import Expo (CIIE), aiming to expand the presence of the Maggi brand in the Chinese market by introducing imported products.
The product lineup for the expo will include popular Maggi items such as "Fast Food 5 Minutes," "Magic Asia," and "Maggi Sauce." These offerings will consist of seasoning packets, instant pasta cups, mashed potatoes, and more.
Liu Shiyan, director of Totole's public affairs department, expressed the company's plans to introduce some of the showcased imported products to the Chinese market. Totole aims to continuously improve the retail products of the Maggi brand, providing a variety of choices for Chinese consumers.
Totole has participated in the CIIE multiple times. In 2022, it brought over 150 Maggi series products. Liu said that the CIIE serves as a unique platform for Totole to highlight its latest products and engage with customers, partners, and the government. Their innovative solutions have garnered recognition from customers and generated new business opportunities.
According to Nestle's financial results for the first nine months of 2023, prepared foods and cooking accessories experienced mid-single-digit growth, indicating strong market demand.
In line with the national goal of peaking carbon emissions and achieving carbon neutrality, various industries are seeking ways to reduce carbon emissions and undergo transformation and upgrading. At last year's CIIE, Totole showcased an eco-friendly table and chair made from the recycling of Totole's chicken essence bags, emphasizing their commitment to sustainable development.
This year, Totole plans to continue displaying its eco-friendly table and chair to raise awareness about sustainable development and demonstrate its determination in responding to the net-zero carbon goal.
Additionally, during the event, SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Services Co Ltd, an internationally renowned testing, inspection, and certification organization, will present Shanghai Totole with "diamond-level" zero waste to landfill management system certification, emphasizing the company's commitment to waste reduction and responsible environmental practices.
