The Jia Yuan Hai Art Museum in Dayu village, Malu town, Jiading district, Shanghai, is set to open on Nov 20.
The museum showcases Shanghai culture through a combination of historical and contemporary elements, and serves as a platform for cultural and artistic exhibitions and exchanges.
The opening exhibition will showcase exquisite 20th century Shanghai-style painting and calligraphy works. Admission to the exhibition will be free.
Designed by world-renowned architect Tadao Ando, the museum features an organic integration of indoor and outdoor spaces and has a distinctive countryside cultural atmosphere.
The museum also has a reading room, a creative and cultural products store, and a café.
