The sixth Scientific Technology Fair for the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) Region opened on Nov 15 in Jiading district, Shanghai. It will run until Nov 17, highlighting the importance of collaboration in driving technological advancements and economic growth in the region.
This year's fair invited government officials, representatives from universities and research institutions, and industry experts and scholars from 41 core cities in the YRD region to participate.
The opening ceremony saw the inauguration of a high-quality incubator and the official launch of several significant projects, which aimed to promote the implementation of innovative technologies across different sectors.
The fair focuses on scientific and technological innovation for the future industrial development of the YRD. To facilitate exploration of the latest advancements in various fields, the fair has set up five themed exhibition areas covering over 10,000 square meters. These areas include the YRD Cooperative Cities Exhibition Area, Industrial Digital Transformation Exhibition Area, Automobile New Four Modernizations Exhibition Area, Healthcare and Medical Exhibition Area, and the YRD Technology Trading Hall.
It also features more than 50 activities to showcase the latest scientific breakthroughs and promote the commercialization of research achievements. A series of high-level forums and seminars will be held, providing a platform for experts and researchers to exchange ideas and explore potential collaborations. The activities include technology roadshows, business matchmaking sessions, and innovation competitions, providing opportunities for startups and entrepreneurs to showcase their projects and connect with potential investors.
