​Discover spectacular beauty of gingko leaves in Shanghai's Jiading

Shanghai's Jiading district is currently showcasing the breathtaking beauty of gingko biloba trees. There is a variety of spots where people can appreciate the ephemeral golden foliage.

One notable destination is Gushu Park, located at No 230 Taihai Road, Guangming village, Anting town, Jiading. The park is known for its ancient gingko biloba tree, which holds the title of Shanghai's oldest tree. With a history of over 1,200 years, it has been nicknamed Shanghai 0001. The millennium-old ginkgo tree has become a popular early winter destination. Its leaves are turning golden yellow as autumn peaks, attracting many tourists.

Anting New Town offers is another great place to witness the golden beauty of gingko biloba trees. As visitors stroll down roads in the area, they will come across numerous trees displaying their vibrant golden leaves. The unique color adds an enchanting charm to the community, creating a delightful atmosphere.

Moyu South Road in Anting Town is also recommended. The branches of the gingko biloba trees throughout this area also have golden leaves, creating a dreamlike atmosphere.

Jiading's Xiangyang Village is home to sprawling gingko biloba gardens. Its East Gingko Biloba Garden is one of the largest green ecological parks in the suburbs of Shanghai. During autumn and winter, the gardens transform into a golden paradise, drawing in a significant number of tourists seeking the beauty of the gingko biloba trees.

Within Jiading's Bodhi Temple, six gingko biloba trees have stood tall for over 300 years. Nestled among the golden leaves, the temple holds historical significance and cultural heritage.
