Shanghai's Jiading district convened a conference on Feb 18 to enhance its business environment, marking the release of the seventh edition of its action plan.
Local officials underscored the necessity for continual improvements in the business environment while showcasing the district's accomplishments in 2023. They emphasized the significance of identifying weaknesses and striving for further enhancements.
The conference outlined key areas for improvement, including the need for precise and accessible policies, support for business factors, efficient services, optimized law enforcement, and fair competition.
During the conference, the Business Environment Optimization 7.0 Plan was unveiled. This comprehensive action plan aims to establish an international first-rate business environment and consists of 24 major tasks and 127 measures. The plan focuses on aligning with international standards, improving enterprise services, empowering regulatory enforcement, creating regional benchmarks, and fostering a collaborative business environment.
The plan's primary objective is to address challenges faced by enterprises and support high-quality economic development. Additionally, outstanding cases of successful business environment optimization were recognized at the conference. The 7.0 plan is anticipated to elevate Jiading district's competitiveness and appeal to businesses, setting a new standard for business-friendly environments.
According to the plan, Jiading will further carry out its six major actions to tackle enterprise challenges directly and improve the business environment. These initiatives include exploring new mechanisms for policy consultation, ensuring improved access to essential resources such as electricity within four months, and establishing a program to connect scientific and technological resources. The district also aims to enhance legal support, improve law enforcement and supervision, and create a more user-friendly service environment.
These measures are expected to streamline administrative processes, enhance support for businesses, and cultivate a more favorable environment for economic growth in Jiading.
