As mobile payment technology continues to advance, the Shanghai Jiading Branch of the Bank of Communications has been working to optimize payment services for various groups.
To better serve the elderly and foreigners, the bank has introduced the RMB cash "change purse" service, providing small-denomination banknotes to meet the cash needs of such people.
The bank has also collaborated with tourist spots and shopping centers to exchange "change purses" and educate merchants on the importance of the RMB. Moreover, they are delivering "change purses" to hospitals and pharmacies to address daily change shortages in the medical system.
In addition, the bank has implemented measures to facilitate payments for foreigners in China. Foreign students and employees have received assistance with cash withdrawals, card applications, and change purse exchanges, along with bilingual guides for payment and opening accounts.
