The Jiading Print Exhibition Hall has recently opened its doors, offering a new cultural venue where people can explore the charm and cultural value of Chinese printmaking.
Spanning 170 square meters, the exhibition hall features four main sections: an artwork display, a tools showcase, an introduction to print categories and techniques, and an interactive experience zone.
Visitors are greeted by a variety of exquisite print works in the display area. The collection includes black and white woodcuts, copperplate engravings, Suzhou Taohuawu New Year prints, Shanghai Xiaoxiaochang New Year prints, silk-screen prints, zodiac prints, watermark woodcuts, and bookplates, each with its own unique characteristics.
"The artistic language of printmaking is unique, with rich colors and clever compositions. These artworks help us understand the historical context of the time, making the interpretation of printmaking art very intriguing," said a visitor surnamed Xu.
"We hope the Jiading Print Exhibition Hall will bring printmaking art to the public, serving society and allowing more residents to appreciate its charm and cultural value," said Fu Yongkang, a young printmaker and the exhibition hall's director. Regular art-themed experiential activities will be held to provide diversified and high-quality cultural services.
