Mogo.ai Information and Technology Co Ltd (Mogo.ai) has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the local government of Shanghai's Jiading district to enhance government-enterprise cooperation in advancing "vehicle-road-cloud integration" through technology validation, infrastructure development, and demonstration applications.
Jiading district is positioning itself as a hub for smart transportation, aiming to establish an intelligent transportation system by 2025. The collaboration will merge Mogo.ai's R&D resources with Jiading's industry assets to enhance the region's capabilities in intelligent connected vehicles.
Zhu Lei, Mogo.ai's CEO, emphasized the importance of real-time digitalization of the physical world, otherwise referred to as real-time digital twin systems, as a core focus for leading tech companies worldwide. He noted that Mogo.ai's network integrates L4-level autonomous driving technology to improve safety and efficiency. "The vehicle-road-cloud network provides real-time digital twin services for vehicles and intelligent devices like robots and drones," Zhu explained.
Founded in 2017, Mogo.ai is a leader in "vehicle-road-cloud integration" with nearly 700 patents. Their solutions have already been deployed in regions across China, including Shanghai. The company plans to establish R&D and data headquarters in Jiading, implementing applications like autonomous shuttles and taxis to enhance local transportation.
Earlier this year, Mogo.ai began offering unmanned bus services at Jiabei Country Park in Jiading, marking successful initial steps. Zhu believes the current vehicle-road-cloud network is just the beginning, and will eventually serve a wide range of intelligent devices, from drones to robotic dogs.
