ZF Asia Pacific Automotive Safety Systems (Shanghai) Co Ltd, situated in Anting town, Jiading district, Shanghai, inaugurated its operations on Oct 24, marking a significant milestone for the global automotive leader.
The location serves as the Asia Pacific headquarters for ZF LIFETEC, which was previously known as ZF's Passive Safety Systems Division.
The facility houses departments for research and development, sales, quality control, project management, procurement, and finance, offering comprehensive support for ZF's Asia Pacific and global operations.
Additionally, a 3,500-square-meter laboratory is set to be constructed within the building to enhance ZF's R&D capabilities, with completion expected next year.
ZF, a Fortune 500 company renowned for its automotive components and technology, has deepened its ties with Jiading since 1997. So far, it has established four subsidiaries in Jiading, boosting the group's production capacity and efficiency. Last year, ZF's operations in Jiading generated over 11 billion yuan ($1.55 billion) in output value.
