Aginode, a leading global provider of communication and data solutions, inaugurated its Asia-Pacific Manufacturing and R&D Center in Nanxiang town, Jiading district in Shanghai on Dec 4.
The center, spanning over 7,800 square meters, includes advanced cleanroom production workshops, an automated warehousing center, and a customer experience center. It has received ETL certification and boasts over 20 professional technicians, with significant investments in R&D.
It is expected to generate an annual output value of approximately 450 million yuan ($61.6 million), elevating China as a global production base and Asia-Pacific supply chain hub for the company.
Frank Coenen, partner at Syntagma Capital, Aginode's investor, emphasized that the new center will serve high-tech sectors such as communications, data centers, and network connectivity, supporting Aginode's operations across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
Jiang Zhenhai, general manager of Aginode Asia-Pacific, highlighted the center's focus on creating a smart factory, enhancing localized R&D and service capabilities, and improving automation and ESG responsibilities.
Zhou Songhua, deputy head of Nanxiang town, expressed hope that Aginode's presence would attract more high-end enterprises as part of the town’s push to promote smart manufacturing.
