The Liando U Valley Jiading Innovation Center, located in the Jiading Industrial Zone in Jiading district, Shanghai, was recently put into operation.
The center aims to support Jiading district's goal of developing major industries, particularly in automotive innovation and integrated circuits.
It integrates advanced manufacturing, R&D testing, production services, and operational platforms. "We aim to create a high-tech, high-quality, and eco-friendly production park," said Ding Jin, the project's general manager. Nearly 10 companies have shown interest in the park, with three already settled in.
Shanghai Honghe Automation Technology Co Ltd, specializing in electric cylinders, initially planned to relocate its R&D center outside Shanghai due to the city's high costs but ultimately chose to operate in the park after discussions with the Liando U Valley team. Ding explained that the reason for this decision is that Jiading houses a number of research institutions and boasts significant advantages in R&D talent and industry-academia collaborations.
Honghe's R&D center is now operational. "The park's facilities are comprehensive, and transportation links are strong," said Shen Yu, business assistant at Honghe. "The operational team resolves issues promptly."
The center comprises eight factory buildings with a diverse array of capabilities, including high-load capacity for industrial operations on the upper floors. It features a separate flow management system for people and goods, with parking spaces and a large underground garage.
Additionally, a cafeteria is currently under construction to provide affordable dining services for employees, enhancing the park's amenities.
