From April 17 to 20, the Volvo China Open will tee off in Shanghai at the Enhance Anting Golf Club. On April 16, 17 foreign players, caddies, and their families embarked on a cultural journey through Jiading district, Shanghai, ahead of the competition, savoring soup dumplings and exploring classical gardens.
The tour began at Nanxiang Old Street, a historic lane brimming with local charm. After passing by the Nanxiangsi Brick Tower and West Street, the group arrived at the Tanyuan Garden, where the melodies of traditional Chinese zither music filled the air. They were intrigued by the performances of classic compositions.

"It's my first time in Shanghai. Jiading's gardens and ancient towns are breathtaking, especially the zither music. It's really great to relax like this before the competition," Brandon, a British golfer, told reporters.
At the Nanxiang Xiaolongbao Cultural Experience Center, the group member tried their hands at making soup dumplings under the guidance of master chefs. Spanish participant Angel Ayora proudly showcased his work and devoured six freshly steamed dumplings in one go. "These are tasty! I'll definitely bring my family here and even try making them at home," he exclaimed.
