Ashun Wu captured his second Volvo China Open title in a thrilling finale at the Enhance Anting Golf Club in Shanghai's Jiading district on April 20.

Wu's stellar performance, featuring five birdies on the back nine, led to a six-under-par 65, securing a narrow one-stroke victory.

This win marks Wu's second triumph at the Volvo China Open, a decade after his first, adding to his five DP World Tour/European Tour titles. He finished with a total score of 14-under 270, earning $433,500. England's Jordan Smith was runner-up after a 67, one stroke ahead of German Yannik Paul (69), who was two shots off the pace.

In a historic milestone, four Chinese players, including Wu, Li Haotong, Dou Zecheng, and Ding Wenyi, finished in the top 10. This is the first time four Chinese golfers have achieved such a feat in a single DP World Tour event.

The award ceremony celebrated local culture, with unique Jiading cultural heritage items like Jiading bamboo carving and Anting medicinal cloth presented as prizes.

Established in 1995, the Volvo China Open is the oldest international professional golf tournament in the Chinese mainland and will remain at the Enhance Anting Golf Club for the next two years. The club, featuring an 18-hole PGA championship course designed by renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Jr., hosted this prestigious event for the first time.

Ling Kuangye, executive director of the club, expressed pride in hosting such a high-profile event. "We are committed to enhancing our facilities and showcasing Shanghai's unique urban charm and rich sports culture to a global audience," Ling said.
