The 2025 International Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Vehicle Congress & Exhibition, also known as FCVC, took place in Shanghai's Jiading district from June 18 to 20.
As a premier summit in the hydrogen energy sector, the congress brought together representatives from esteemed organizations such as the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the International Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association (IHFCA), alongside key decision-makers from multinational companies like Valterra Platinum, Hyundai, and Toyota.
Hilton Ingram, executive head of marketing at Valterra Platinum, praised the favorable policy and market environment that the Chinese government has cultivated for the hydrogen energy industry.
Petra Schwager, chief of the Climate and Technology Partnership Division at UNIDO, underscored the significance of hydrogen energy in the global energy transition.
During the event, the Shanghai Jiading Hydrogen Park Hydrogen Energy Storage Industry Alliance was established. By integrating resources from industry, academia, research, and application, it seeks to overcome technical challenges and inject vitality into Jiading's hydrogen energy storage sector.
Over two decades of development, Jiading is now a leader in the hydrogen energy and fuel cell vehicle industry in China.
The district has established China's first specialized park focused on hydrogen energy and fuel cell vehicles.
Looking ahead, it plans to optimize the business environment to maintain a leading position in the field of new energy vehicles.
