Denodo, a leading Spanish data management company, signed an agreement on Nov 14 to establish its presence in Anting town, Jiading district, Shanghai.
The signing ceremony was attended by Gao Xiang, head of Jiading, and Angel Vina, founder and CEO of Denodo.
Denodo will establish a global center in Anting focused on intelligent connected vehicle industry applications. The facility will be Denodo's fourth global R&D center and its first innovation hub for industry solutions, serving customers worldwide.
Gao highlighted the importance of the automotive industry to Shanghai's economy, especially in Jiading. She noted that Jiading is committed to becoming a leader in intelligent connected new energy vehicles. The partnership with Denodo is expected to boost the integration of data management and industrial growth, providing new market opportunities.
Gao expressed hope for broad cooperation in digital economy, technology R&D, and talent development, assuring full support for future business needs.
Vina emphasized the opportunities China's growing economy presents for Europe, saying that Denodo plans to use Shanghai as a base to expand its presence in China. It will leverage the insights it gains there to enhance global operations, fostering deeper economic ties between China and Spain.
